"The Cornhusker State" officially replaced "The Tree Planters State" in 1945 in recognition of The University of Nebraska football team, the Cornhuskers. It is now more generally associated with all University of Nebraska athletics. It is also said that this nickname refers to the corn that supports Nebraska beef cattle and another state nickname; "The Beef State." "Cornhusker State" appeared on Nebraska license plates from 1969 to 1975. (http://www.netstate.com/states/intro/ne_intro.htm)
So... we're still debating on when to leave California (which, by the way, is called the "Golden State").
It's not that easy of a decision like we thought it would be.... turns out it's pretty expensive to move from place to place... who would have thought?
When we leave, currently, depends on if Nina can get a job before we get out there and when that job would start. If it starts in June, I guess we're moving in June... if it starts later, then we'll move after Juliann's wedding... if Nina doesn't get a job before we get there, then we'll move after Juliann's wedding... there are a lot of factors! But... regardless, the LATEST we would move is July 11th... which is 62 days away... so... the countdown begins!
In 62 days or less.... we are moving to Nebraska from California!
Pretty exciting stuff if we do say so ourselves....
