Today brought even more research.... I thought "Google" told me to take a break at some point...it may have been my imagination, though...
Apartments have been hard to find in Nebraska... there are resources to check out, like the newspaper and certain websites, but a lot of calling has to be done to really find something out (which, is hard, when your phone decides the night before to NOT charge anymore).
We're still in the process of looking around for a place to live, and figuring out when we're going to move (our sister is getting married in California on July 9th)... but... our wheels are turning.
As far as craigslist.... in our previous post we mentioned that we're only bringing whatever fits in our car... even though we've had another day to think about this... we've decided that this is not a crazy idea, and that we're going to do it! Today was spent taking pictures of some items (our two leather couches, two black bookcases, our dresser, our matching nightstand, our two matching barstools, our trampoline, our coffee table and our little TV) and posting it all on craigslist to sell! We haven't sold anything yet (San Fernando Craigslist moves SO fast)... but we're not giving up! We have at least four weeks to get things rolling...
Okay... just wanted to say... we're moving to Nebraska... where apparently, we're going to have "the good life"...
I breathe a heavy sigh of bittersweet. I'm sad you're leaving Cali. But I'm happy to see you guys moving on to a new adventure.
ReplyDeleteMoving after college was the best (and scariest) thing I ever did. I will NEVER regret it. You two will thrive in your new environment. You have to promise you guys will contact me for anything you need...
